WHAT IS LA AURORA CIGAR WORLD?

La Aurora, the oldest tobacco company in the Dominican Republic, leader in the Dominican tobacco market with a presence in more than sixty countries, has opted for an innovative project that is unique in the world: La Aurora Cigar World. It is a concept whose aim is to train real experts in Premium Cigars. Thus, La Aurora Cigar World sees its strategy materialized on two pillars: La Aurora Cigar Institute and La Aurora Factory Tour.

Welcome.

““We have gone a step further by creating

a 360º concept about the world of tobacco.

The first comprehensive training school

for cigar lovers.”

Guillermo Leon, president of La Aurora.

Cigar Institute

After four years of planning, this institution was created with the aim of training and teaching the cigar world educationally through major players in the history of tobacco who will communicate and disseminate its culture. We speak of Benji Menéndez and Ángel Daniel Núñez, major figures in the history of tobacco for much of their lives, together with Guillermo León.

La Aurora Cigar Institute is endorsed by the Dominican Tobacco Institute, which certifies the quality of its courses. These courses and syllabi have been carefully designed at different levels and duration according to students’ needs.

Factory Tour

Visit the facilities of the centennial factory and get an inside look at the La Aurora operation. History, tradition and innovation are three elements that characterize every square meter of the facility.

We are talking about the number one activity recommended by Trip Advisor in Santiago de los Caballeros –the world’s largest tobacco area also known by the Valle del Cibao–.

A tour through the oldest and the most prestigious cigar factory in the Dominican Republic, where you will experience first-hand the daily activities of its employees. On the La Aurora Factory Tour you can browse our showroom, which explains all cigar-making processes, regardless of the season you visit us. There is also a museum tracing the company’s 110 years and a tobacco ranch where you have the opportunity to know the history of tobacco from the Orinoco basin. An unforgettable experience.
